A New Direction!
January 2019 marks a new year and a new direction for the Council. As of January 1, we are asking all new and current members to pay annual dues. In return, we are increasing our services and offering new benefits to our members.
Your membership in the Fire Council helps us expand our community and create a unified, credible voice that represents the entire spectrum of prescribed burners in Wisconsin. Your participation helps us to advocate on behalf of prescribed fire throughout the state and to provide trainings, workshops, networking opportunities and educational resources to the prescribed fire community.
Please help strengthen and promote prescribed fire in Wisconsin. Add your voice to others from the Wisconsin prescribed fire community to support the mission of the Council.
Membership Options
All members are eligible to vote for and serve on the Board of Directors and receive early notification of trainings, workshops or conferences being sponsored by the Council. Additional member benefits for each level are listed below.
Student – $20 for 4 years
Receive one discounted registration per year for Fire Council events.
Individual – $20/year
Receive one discounted registration per year for Fire Council events.
Lifetime Individual Member – $250 (one time)
Receive two discounted registrations per year for Fire Council events.
Organization – $100/year
Organizations, businesses and agencies can join as Organizational members. Organizations:
- Receive three discounted registrations per year for Fire Council events.
- Can have their logo, a link and a descriptive paragraph posted on the prescribedfire.org website.
- Can name one representative to the Council’s Advisory Board.
- Cannot vote or serve on the Board of Directors, but their employees or affiliated personnel are eligible for those privileges by joining as Individual members.
Supporting Member – $250/year
- Can designate one individual to be eligible to vote for and serve on the Board of Directors
- Receive five discounted registrations for Fire Council events per year.
- Get a prominent acknowledgement on the prescribedfire.org website.
*Individual and Organizational memberships expire on December 31 of each year.
*Memberships started after September 30 run through December 31 of the following year.
*Student memberships expire 4 years after the original signup date.
