Add your voice to others from the Wisconsin prescribed fire community and support the mission of the Council. Join the Wisconsin Prescribed Fire Council!

Your membership in the Fire Council helps us expand our community and create a unified, credible voice that represents the entire spectrum of prescribed burners in Wisconsin. Your participation helps us to advocate on behalf of prescribed fire throughout the state and to provide training, workshops, networking opportunities and educational resources to the prescribed fire community.

Our members are passionate about advancing prescribed fire in Wisconsin and elsewhere. Members are from government, for-profit and non-profit organizations; landowners, universities and more. We range widely in perspectives and experience levels, which makes for good discussion and dynamic events. We encourage everyone who shares our enthusiasm to join us in making prescribed fire in Wisconsin safer, more effective and more accepted for all practitioners.

Members are eligible to vote for and serve on the Board of Directors, and receive early notification and discounted registration for training, workshops, and conferences. Memberships expire at the end of the year (December 31st). Any memberships starting after September 30th will expire the following year. Please see the specifics below.

can name one representative to the Council’s Advisory Board
cannot vote or serve on the Board of Directors, but their employees or affiliated personnel are eligible for those privileges by joining as Individual members

first access to interested clients
receive early notification of training, workshops, conferences, etc.
receive five discounted registrations for Fire Council events per year
