The Empire-Sauk Chapter of The Prairie Enthusiasts is offering basic training for prescribed burn crew members. This 1-day class is for people without previous burn experience or who want a refresher. The training will follow the guidelines of the Wisconsin Prescribed Fire Council. Successful participation in this training, plus helping on two TPE burns as an apprentice, provides qualifications to be a new crew member on TPE burns. Class taught by Rob Baller, Scott Fulton & Andy Sleger of The Prairie Enthusiasts.

Bring your own sack lunch. Class will be inside and consist of lecture with slides, including some lecture during lunch due to short library hours. Library opens 9 AM
