Now that we have reached the end of the year, it is time to renew your Wisconsin Prescribed Fire Council membership for 2023! Your valued membership and Council participation directly supports our mission to increase the capacity of safe prescribed fire in Wisconsin. We can’t do it without you!
You can renew your yearly Individual membership or choose the cost-effective Lifetime membership option. If you are interested in being featured on our website, you may also consider our Organization or Supporting membership options. Don’t forget the 4-year membership for students! All memberships and donations are tax deductible.
Membership grants you early access and reduced rates to Council events. It also grants you a voice on council committees and the opportunity to serve and vote on the Board of Directors. Our WPFC committees are exploring burn boss certification, developing crew leader training programs, creating accessible prescribed fire insurance, and are working with a coalition of professional fire practitioners across the northeast/Midwest to address barriers to prescribed fire implementation. Through our recent strategic planning initiatives, we know that in order to keep these committee efforts burning and reach our goals, we need your help.

We are also excited to announce that we will be holding a Winter Workshop at UW-Stevens Point on Saturday, January 28th! Members will receive discounted rates and any students who register will receive an automatic 4-year membership. Stay tuned for more details and we hope to see you there!
